Write It

Katharina (Germany)

[A Research poem]

Muffled, unwrapped, a cool speckled mushroom body,
Its handle a garish tangerine tentacle.
Sips from this wannabee-Woodstock vessel carry
the pale light of grandmother's curtains,
an illicit desire for freedom simmering below
its plasticky small-town surface, like tea.

Which I then transformed into a research poem:

Cared-for, worn, speckled: fashion exhibitions contain
intangible value which makes follower counts pale.
Can curators counter garish fashion hauls posts
Using their plastic, cobalt and glass devices?
Without illicit tools, just multimodal Instagram skills,
digital happenings can rival Woodstock crowds anytime.
