Special Event Series
ideals for research writing
november 19
How can you translate your research IDEALS into a potent publication strategy?
Join international writing expert Helen Sword for this FREE WriteSPACE Special Event with John Dumay, Professor of Accounting and Finance at Macquarie University and the author of the Academic Research, Publishing and Writing, published by Emerald Press in 2024. Helen will engage John in a lively conversation about his own research journey and his IDEALS framework, which prompts researchers in any field to:
Identify the problem;
Define the context;
Enumerate the options;
Analyze from a critical perspective;
List reasons explicitly; and
Self-reflect.
The event will take place on Zoom from 7-9 pm Australian Eastern Daylight Time. To find the time in your own time zone, check our guest calendar or use this handy time zone converter.
The first hour of this WriteSPACE Special Event is free to all registered attendees. The hands-on workshop in the second hour is reserved for paid WriteSPACE subscribers. (Not a member? Click here and use the discount code WSTRIAL-SE to try free for 30 days.)
Register below to receive the Zoom link a few hours before the event. Can’t attend live? All registered participants will be sent a link to a video recording of the first hour.
We’d love to see you there!
